As we stepped outside of this incredible room, we were greeted with an absolutely giant terrace area which is bigger than a lot of the gardens people have at their homes! This was an area more than sufficient to host a party and had a selection of tables, seats and sun loungers. What’s more, the panoramic view of the palm tree lined pool and ocean are absolutely sublime.

Simona Gattone (@_simona_fit)

After this, it was time for the party, and those invited were in for an absolute treat. Befitting the event, everyone that showed up was dressed to impress with the men in shirts, smart trousers and shoes, and the women in stylish dresses and high heels. The guests’ chic clothing choices certainly matched the mood of the evening perfectly and of course the gorgeous surroundings of the redesigned hotel.

The evening began with a wide selection of different drinks at the superb new bar near reception. The atmosphere was buzzing and everyone was having a brilliant time, with conversation flowing and plenty of compliments from the guests about the hotel redesign, friendly staff and of course the beautiful setting.

Following this everyone headed to a spacious upper terrace area with a bar overlooking one of the hotel pools located next to the ocean. Here attendees were treated to more drinks and a selection of delicious food such as oysters and tasty mini crab burgers.

There was also a live DJ playing chill out music, creating the perfect ambience as the sun set behind neighboring La Gomera in the distance. With beautiful weather (as is to be expected in Tenerife), stunning palm trees, an excellent selection of food and drink, music to fit the mood and plenty of great conversation, it didn’t seem as if the evening could get any better!

Once the sun had set, everyone headed down to the picture perfect pool by the ocean where we were treated to an acrobatic performer, a group of live drummers and then music from a live band! Just as with the complete makeover of the hotel, those who had designed and coordinated tonight’s event seemed to have thought of everything!

There was yet more fantastic food and drink to enjoy, and  speeches by a number of different people including Saad Azzam the General Manager of Hotel Jardín Tropical, Fernando Clavijo Batlle, Presidente del Gobierno de Canarias, Carlos Enrique Alonso Rodriguez, Presidente del Cabildo de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, Alcalde de Adeje and others.

Following this, to top off the evening there was even a fireworks display which really did feel like the icing on the cake of a brilliant evening of entertainment and fun. This was an event that really did do this incredible hotel and beautiful full-scale refurbishment justice.

We would like to offer our thanks to everyone involved and for the invitation to enjoy this exclusive party which our team all thoroughly enjoyed. It is without a doubt that Hotel Jardín Tropical will continue to grow from strength to strength as they retain their position as one of the very best places to stay, in one of the greatest destinations in the world!

The Other Side of Tenerife

When someone says they’re going on holiday to Tenerife what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Do you think of package holidays and Brits abroad? This is the reputation it seems to have, but in reality, there’s much much more to discover.

Most of the “touristy” areas of Tenerife are located in the south part of the island. If you are willing to venture on to the north part of the island you will find an abundance of history, culture and scenery to explore. Even though Tenerife is the biggest of the Canary Islands it is by no means very large. You can easily drive from one side of Tenerife to the other in just a couple hours. This makes it an ideal road trip destination.

As I only had 4 nights on Tenerife I chose to explore two locations while I was there. I stayed in La Laguna for two nights and Garachico for two nights. On the drive from the airport to the first location, I stopped at Playa Las Teresitas. The photo above was taken from Los Organos viewpoint and shows how beautiful this stretch of beach is!

La Laguna is where the university is located and felt more residential. I enjoyed being around the locals and discovering the history of the city. Go to eat at Tasca 61. They use local organic produce to cook their homemade meals and serve wine and beer from nearby. If you are wondering where to stay, check out La Laguna Gran Hotel. This boutique hotel is a combination of old and grand with modern and minimalistic.

On the drive from La Laguna to Garachico, there are countless stops you can make. One of my favourites is Playa Jardin. I had never been to a black sand beach before!

Garachico is a beautiful seaside town with some pretty amazing coastline. Rock pools are strewn across the northern Tenerife coast but some of the most enjoyed, are the ones in Garachico.

In Garachico I stayed at Hotel San Roque. A historic stately mansion which has been restored into a luxury boutique hotel. The service at Hotel San Roque is impeccable. The hotel is filled with beautiful artwork and places to relax like their rooftop sun deck. My days were spent wandering the streets of the town and stopping every so often for some wine and tapas.

I know there is so much on the island I didn’t have time to see.  Masca and Mount Teide are just a couple of the wonders that have me yearning to go back to Tenerife.

If culture, scenery, authenticity, and escapism are more your thing you should definitely think about exploring northern Tenerife. In the south, you have a multitude of resorts and beautiful beach options. It all depends on the type of holiday you want, but I’m convinced Tenerife has something to suit everyone.

Where to Find Some Great Restaurants in Los Cristianos

Los Cristianos has a brightly coloured coastline, harbour to catch a ferry to the neighbouring island of La Gomera, plenty of bars and an array of some great, long standing restaurants. The popular choices have been many tourist’s favourites over the years and still today, they attract diners and maintain good reviews on Tripadvisor.

Tenerife has so many fabulous places to eat with different cuisines to choose from so selection is readily available. From Thai, Italian, French, Chinese and my favourite, Canarian, this is just to name a few!

watch Rincón del Marinero, c/cabeza Muella Viejo not just your ordinary fish selection

Tenerife offers an amazing opportunity to dine with fresh fish choices and over the years, Los Cristianos was once one of the busiest fishing ports on the Island. Home to fisherman and some delicious fresh fish. This fish restaurant is one of the longstanding favourites which has been operating since 1978 and specialises in fresh fish or seafood only.

Over the years, I have walked past this restaurant countless times as it is on the main walkway from Los Cristianos to Playa de Las Americas (just before the subway tunnel). The downside of this restaurant is that there is no view, it just looks out onto a yard which is in front of the harbour. The positive side is that you will be guaranteed fresh fish or seafood!

Traditional Sea Bass is on the menu or you can opt for something a little different like Wreckfish (which is great for sharing for two) or why not try the Snapper fish. Other menu favourites include garlic prawns, Calamari or seafood Paella.

It is easy to spot with the fishing boat located at the entrance of the restaurant and the bold blue and white colours will catch your attention either before or after coming out of the subway.

Linares, Av, Las Playeras 41 is central location and popular Italian food

Trading since 1957, Linares is situated in a prime location, short walk to the beach and a popular choice for lunchtime or evening meal. Inside dining or you can sit in the shade outside in the main street and take a cold beer or glass of wine. If you feel like getting more into the theme, try a Sangria.

You can expect to find dishes such as pasta, pizza, cannelloni, steaks, mixed grill or fish paella.

Linares is close to many shops so if you fancy a little bit of shopping along the way, this is a perfect choice. This restaurant is certainly in a good location and an ideal resting area to top up on refreshments or chill out at night for an evening meal.

Check out a nice, quirky gift shop Ale Hop which is based in the same street as Linares and a fun little place to take a peek. Most of the holiday type shops offer the same tourist style gifts but this one is worth a visit.

http://asandoc.com/?dwonsnow3=%D8%A3%D8%B3%D8%B1%D8%B9-%D8%B7%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%82%D8%A9-%D9%84%D9%83%D8%B3%D8%A8-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84-%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%89-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%B1%D9%86%D8%AA&a48=3e Mongolian, Av. Amsterdam and offers eat all you can style dining

Renowned for good food and value, this popular restaurant certainly pulls in the crowds at night. A little walk from the beach, heading towards Paradise Park Hotel direction (but not up the slightly steep hill so it’s easy to walk to), this restaurant builds up its name based on repeat business.

For €12 per person, you can have starters of sushi, duck, pancakes, ribs, wontons, spring rolls (remember this is eat all you can style) so you can mix and match. Main dishes include steak, lamb chops, chicken, fish, king prawns, mussels and more. There are around 30 sauces to choose from which you can select and then take your food to the chef who cooks it in front of you with your selected sauce.

There is a choice of desserts too so you can see why this restaurant attracts many visitors night after night. For those tourists who have a large appetite, this is ‘food heaven’.

The quality of the food receives great reviews on Tripadvisor so it is definitely worth checking it out if you are staying in or around Los Cristianos.

Whichever restaurant you select, it’s great that you have ventured out to support the local businesses. It is really important to step out and take a look around the area, try some different food and enjoy what Los Cristianos has to offer, especially the fantastic restaurants and friendly service.

Take advantage of Tenerife, especially Los Cristianos and relax, eat and be happy!

Top 5 Romantic Places in Puerto de la Cruz Tenerife

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, why not surprise your loved one with a romantic long weekend in Tenerife. It may not be the first place you think of to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but you will amazed by just how romantic this island can be!

This is the first of two Valentine’s Day specials. This one focuses on the charming city of Puerto de la Cruz in the north of Tenerife. So share this with your loved one and enjoy a few relaxing days together in the Tenerife sunshine.

HOTEL: HOTEL BOTANICO

This is a spectacular hotel in Puerto de la Cruz. Everything here is beautiful, such as the amazing artwork by Canarian artists, the relaxing gardens, and the flower arrangement in the lobby. The facilities are first class, and the hotel staff are courteous, always smiling, and can’t do enough for you.

The rooms are excellent, and all have fantastic views, which can be admired from the furnished balconies. They are of a large size, and all have flat screen TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi. There is also air conditioning, a safety box, a minibar, and a beautiful marble bathroom complete with toiletries, bathrobe and slippers.

There are a couple of restaurants inside the hotel serving delicious food, and don’t forget to try the breakfast buffet. I quite honestly have never eaten one quite like it before. There are many places to just sunbathe and read a book in peace, and they have an excellent spa area, which you can read more about below.

The hotel is up a hill from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz. You can walk down in around 15 minutes, or use the hotel’s courtesy bus to take you there and back. It is also possible to take a taxi for a reasonable price.

For a romantic getaway in Puerto de la Cruz, this hotel can’t be beaten.

SPA: THE ORIENTAL SPA GARDEN

You won’t have to go far to find the Oriental Spa Garden, if you stay at Hotel Botanico, as the spa is part of the hotel.

This exquisite spa, with its extensive facilities, is pure luxury. It is set in the hotel’s perfectly manicured gardens. I highly recommend the Thermal Circuit with its steam room, waterbeds, aromatherapy, and sauna. It is pure bliss! The swimming pool is amazing with hydro- massage jets and a waterfall, and the Jacuzzi in the cave is great for romance.

The staff here are friendly and professional, and are attentive to customer needs.

A visit to the Oriental Spa Garden will become your favourite memory of a romantic trip to Puerto de la Cruz.

RESTAURANT: RÉGULO

The Régulo restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz is a lovely place for a romantic dinner in a beautiful historical building. Here you are welcomed as though you are a guest in the owner’s home. Restaurante Régulo is a family business, which makes it all the more special, and the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful.

The menu is mainly Canarian style food, which tastes fantastic. I recommend the salmon in champagne sauce, and the lamb shoulder, which is also very good. If you want to sit in the delightful patio area, then it is best to reserve a table a few days beforehand.

The atmosphere in the lovely Restaurante Régulo is relaxed, and the prices are very reasonable.

ATTRACTION: LAGO MARTIÁNEZ

In Puerto de la Cruz you will find Lago Martiánez, which is an amazing swimming pool complex designed by Cesar Manrique. The complex is made up of many huge seawater pools, and the whole area is clean, beautiful, and well maintained. The views of the sea and the surroundings, from inside Lago Martiánez, are stunning.

There are many sunbeds to choose from so find your favorite pool, grab yourself a sunbed and sunbed cover, which are included in the admission fee, and just relax! If it’s a little too hot, then it is possible to hire a parasol for €2.50.

The admission cost is very reasonable at €5.50 for an adult. You can stay inside until closing if you like, or come and go as you please all day, though there are restaurants, bars, and kiosks inside.

This is a great place to come to wind down after a couple of busy sightseeing days, as it is always possible to find a hidden spot to put your sunbeds, and just rest for a while.

This is nothing like sitting around your hotel pool; it is a place of relaxation where you walk out feeling wonderful.

ociocostamartianez.com/en/history-of-costa-martianez-lago-martianez/

BAR: BLANCO BAR

Blanco Bar is great for dancing to old school, hip hop and Latin music. The interior design is lovely, and the whole place is sleek and clean with a great atmosphere.

If you arrive early, before 11pm, you will find the bar quite empty, but this just means you can grab the best seats with a view to the street. Upstairs it’s possible to relax in an armchair in quieter surroundings, and then head downstairs when you want to dance.

The fabulous cocktails are reasonably priced with a large mojito only costing around 5 euros, which will be served to you by some great staff who tend to smile a lot. Another great drink to try is Canarian honey rum, which brings back memories of my first trip to Tenerife in 1996, where I ended up having a honey rum fight with my friends!

It gets crowded quite quickly after midnight with most people being in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties. It’s also best to dress lightly as it can get rather hot on the dance floor. Time will fly by though, but don’t worry about finding your way back to your hotel, as there are always taxis waiting on the corner by the bar.

Check out the website for the latest events.

Snow in Tenerife on Mount Teide

Lately there has been A LOT of snow in Tenerife, so much so that I have had people writing to me very worried that their holiday in the sun in Tenerife is going to be more about snowmen than sandmen.

I am here to put your mind at ease.

Yes, there is snow in Tenerife right now, and yes, the snow is just as cold there as anywhere else. However, the good news is that it tends to stay up high in the mountains, and covering Mount Teide, Teide National Park and some of the villages and towns like Vilaflor that are much higher up than the coastal resorts.

This means that the beach resorts are sunny with temperatures still somewhere between around 18 degrees and 22 degrees depending on where you are. You could actually go up the mountains in the morning, build a snowman, and come back down to the beach after lunch, and sunbathe (and maybe build a sandman).

So, pack your gloves and your swimwear and go out and discover the best of what Tenerife can offer. Of course, you could always make some woollen bikinis, and swimming shorts to take with you just in case 😉

To see the weather for Tenerife visit Playa de las Americas weather or Puerto de la Cruz weather or Teide National Park. The summit of Mount Teide is much colder and the weather for this can be seen at Mount Teide Summit.

Whatever the weather, I am sure that you will have a wonderful time in Tenerife 🙂

The Edge of Perfection for Tapas at Pearly Grey

For those readers who have read my previous articles, it’s clear that ‘good food and nice settings’ are key factors on my list. For those who don’t know me, let me tell you about a wonderful restaurant which is situated in a sleepy little town called Callao Salvaje, not far from Costa Adeje. The Edge Restaurant is a hidden little gem of a place which has stunning views of a rugged coastline and food to ‘just dream about’. Honestly, this food is amazing!

It was a perfect opportunity for me to get some photographs of the sun going down and the night falling in. It was wonderful to physically see the sun moving closer to the sea and within minutes, it disappeared.

The Edge Restaurant is situated in the Pearly Grey hotel. Tapas and good restaurants is one of my specialities and I don’t just want to talk to you about what was on offer, I want to let you visualise the dishes which were produced by a fabulous chef and assistant.

The outside dining area was the perfect setting with low lighting, soft furnishings, cool sea breeze (heaters on the terrace kept the temperature spot on for an evening meal – it was December time but still really warm). Fresh, warm, comfortable and totally relaxed, ready to see what tapas were heading my way!

The mood was light and fun, sipping a drink and chatting, it was easy to see why the Edge Restaurant was appealing to the holidaymakers who wanted to escape the crowds and enjoy some top cuisine.

Chatting to one of the guests at the hotel, I wanted to get to know his opinion, especially the food. The relaxed conversation supported what I was hoping for (as I was still about to experience my food which was being prepared). The guest had returned for another holiday at Pearly Grey and his reaction was for the food, peaceful location and the stunning sunsets.

Well our food was nearly ready to be served and it was time for me to see if it lived up to the conversation we had just had or if this would be a mediocre meal. With our table all set, eyes glued to the waitress in anticipation of hunger, the plates started arriving!

Beautifully cooked cutlets which were seasoned and dressed with some spicy chickpeas. Tucking into this dish and adding some to my plate, the meat melted in my mouth and then followed the kick of the chickpeas. Fabulous choice for those diners who like a little spice added to the flavour of their food. Perfect!

Next up was perfectly rolled, fresh healthy vegetables and salad in a tortilla style wrap, which any vegetarian would enjoy. The attention to detail in the presentation of this dish was outstanding. Dressed to impress and perfection on a plate.

Another stunning and well presented dish was round, vegetable (patty like) treats. Packed with flavours that would make any palate happy and the tapas were finished off with a beautiful drizzle of sauce dressing. I even tucked into the dressing and side salad to ensure I got the full advantage of the seasons used. My appetite just kept increasing.

For diners who like Octopus, well this dish would impress you. Perfectly presented, seasoned and garnished with a bit of colour. Finely chopped and dressed with a slight sprinkle of seasoning, this kept our crowd tucking in for more.

It is easy to see how the Edge Restaurant receives praise after praise for the top class food it serves guests and diners. The dishes exceeded my expectations without doubt and it left me wanting more of the wonderful flavours and perfectly presented food. What more could anyone ask for?

Sitting back, listening to the music, the good food, wine and scenery, what a great end to our night and an added bonus to watch the stunning sunset from the restaurant. I suddenly keyed in to think about my previous conversation early on in the night, from the guest and ‘totally got him’ regarding his reasons for coming back to stay at Pearly Grey hotel and to make the most of this stunning restaurant.

The hotel and Edge Restaurant is known for picture perfect opportunities. This place is a winner for anyone who is thinking of booking a nice table for Valentines day, anniversary or simply just a really good meal or get together! The standards are exceptional and the views are just stunning.

To end this amazing night of perfect food and magical scenery, it was lovely to meet the genius’ behind the scene who cooked these amazing tapas. (Oh and the desserts are another reason to indulge that little bit more). Keep up the great work as you are an amazing team!

Thank you to Pearly Grey for providing this stunning setting and restaurant for a ‘great little get away’. Most of all, the amazing tapas and gourmet food which this restaurant offers. Reserve a table for me please, as I will most certainly be back for more!

Why Now is the Perfect Time to Visit Tenerife

So you think you know Tenerife? It’s all beaches, bars and sunburnt tourists right? Well if that’s your only perception right now it’s time to totally reconsider this beautiful island paradise. It is the  largest and most populated of the seven main Canary Islands and with around five million visitors each year, it is also the most popular tourist destination of the Spanish archipelago. In fact it is one of the most important Spanish and global travel and tourism destinations in the world. What you will realise is Tenerife is so much more than first meets the eye.

Of course one of the biggest draws of Tenerife, along with all of the Canary Islands is the amazing year-round spring like climate. It is not an overstatement to say that there is sunshine and bright blue skies almost every single day of the year, with very little variation in the temperature whichever month you choose to go. You can practically stroll around in shorts and t-shirt whether you choose to visit Tenerife in the winter or summer with a winter average of أفضل منصة تداول الخيارات الثنائية للمبتدئين 18ºC in winter and 23ºC in the summer. This is in stark contrast to the rest of Europe!

While there are undoubtedly those that visit Tenerife to spend a week laying on the beach or by the pool getting sunburnt and drinking cheap beer, we know that most of you are looking for a far more interesting and exciting vacation. We are here to tell you why now is the perfect time to visit Tenerife.

Action Packed Water Parks:

The amazing year round climate in Tenerife lends itself perfectly to outdoor activities and fun. The island boasts a number of excellent water parks which are great for all age groups, and are perfect for a day out as a couple, with a group of friends or with your family. Not only that, but you will find Siam Park, voted the best water park in the world for the fourth consecutive year in the TripAdvisor 2017 Travelers’ Choice Awards!

Plenty of Activities to Enjoy on the Beautiful Atlantic Ocean:

The beautiful climate of Tenerife also offers the perfect opportunity to get out onto the open ocean waves. There are a number of excellent activities to try out to suit many different interests. For those looking for an adrenaline fuelled adventure you can try jet-skiing with West Tenerife.

If you want a more relaxing activity where you can take in your surroundings more peacefully, including seeing beautiful dolphins in the wild you should definitely try out kayaking with Tenerife in Kayak.

For those of you that prefer to sit back and relax and let someone else take care of the sailing, then you can enjoy a luxurious VIP sailing adventure with Blue Jack Sail.

The waters around the Canary Islands are some of the best in the world for whale and dolphin watching, and one of the most established companies in Tenerife for an excursion to see these magnificent ocean animals is Freebird Catamaran.

Discover Life Under the Ocean Waves:

It’s not just above the waves that are amazing, but down below the surface the ocean is teaming with wonderful aquatic life. There are many different ways to experience the fascinating wildlife that exists there, but surely one of the most unique must be in a submarine! Tenerife has one of the only submarines in the world that is available for tourist excursions, operated by the fantastic Submarine Safaris.

Tenerife itself is an incredibly diverse island with amazing natural beauty. This includes a stunning coastline with beautiful beaches, natural pools and gorgeous palm tree lined promenades. While most people head to the coastline of the island, especially in the sunnier South, you definitely shouldn’t miss out on the stunning inland landscape.

As with all of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is a volcanic island with a multitude of mountains. This includes Mount Teide which stands at an amazing height of 3,718-metres, making it not only the highest point in Spain, but also the highest point above sea-level in the islands of the Atlantic. It is described as the third-tallest volcanic structure in the world by UNESCO and NASA.

As you ascend up Mount Teide away from the coast the vegetation changes from palm trees to pine forests and you will truly get to appreciate how diverse this amazing island really is. The surroundings and the volcano comprise Teide National Park, the most visited national park in Spain and Europe. If you are looking for somewhere amazing and unique to explore on your next vacation to Tenerife, then you absolutely must take a hiking trip around Teide National Park. For a variety of excellent specialised tours and activities on Mount Teide and around Teide National Park, then head over to the Volcano Teide website.

follow link See Stunning Tenerife from the Air:

To experience how stunning the landscape of Tenerife is from a completely unique perspective, you should definitely consider heading up into the air. From up above you can take in much more of the island at once and see it in a way that most other visitors will not have ever tried before. There are a variety of options available to suit different tastes. If you are looking for an adrenaline packed adventure, then you will absolutely love a paragliding flight with Airsports Tenerife.

If you are looking to soar above Tenerife in a more luxurious style but still with the stunning views from above, then choose a helicopter flight with Helidream Helicopters.

http://dinoprojektet.se/?kapitanse=arbeta-hemifr%C3%A5n-2017&2da=48 Enjoy An Up Close Encounter With Incredible Animals:

As well as the animals native to the Canary Islands, you can also enjoy an up close encounter with incredible animals at a number of excellent zoos in Tenerife. One in particular, Loro Parque, is especially worth a trip to considering it was rated the Number One Best Zoo in the World in the TripAdvisor 2017 Travellers Choice Awards.

ثنائي الخيار المساعد A Huge of Variety of Excellent Places to Eat and Drink:

While you can come to Tenerife and simply eat and drink at the onsite restaurants and bars in the hotel or resort you decide to stay at, or alternatively go to the same boring British themed pubs and Irish bars, we definitely don’t recommend this. Instead there are a huge selection of excellent places to eat and drink across the island to suite all different tastes and price ranges.

These include restaurants with Spanish, British, Asian, Italian, Mexican, French and traditional Canarian cuisines and a whole host of other styles. One excellent choice, especially for those who are partial to top quality American style meat dishes is Brunelli’s Steakhouse located in Puerto de la Cruz.

Huge Selection of Stunning Places to Stay:

Too many people in the past have chosen to stay in large, boring all-inclusive resorts when visiting the Canary Islands. While these can serve a certain purpose as they take some of the stress out of holidaying for families, with less to worry about with all meals provided. Unfortunately what often happens is that those who choose to stay in all-inclusive resorts don’t end up experiencing much of the amazing things that Tenerife has to offer as they tend to stay most of the time in the resort. This means that these tourists don’t see the real Tenerife and also this is very negative for many of the businesses across the island.

Instead here at Tenerife Magazine, we recommend staying in hotels and resorts that are not all-inclusive, and also of course for you to explore the island and try many of excursions that we have suggested. One of the best hotels on the island is the gorgeous luxury 5* Hotel Suite Villa María located in La Caleta, Adeje.

As you can tell there are so many amazing things to see, do and experience in Tenerife. While you will undoubtedly enjoy the sun, sand and sea, the island is so much more than the typical stereotypes you may have heard. Make 2018 the year you decide to discover the true nature of this sun-filled Spanish paradise!

Tenerife Guide of Things to See and Do From A-Z

Tenerife has so many attractions and activities that you may be overwhelmed by all the choices you have. To help you out, here is my Tenerife Guide from A-Z. I’ve chosen one attraction or place for each letter, and if you know somewhere or something which you think deserves the top spot more then let me know in the comments section below.

A is for ANAGA MOUNTAINS

The Anaga Mountains are a place all of their own. The range sprawls across the northeastern part of the island, spewing green across the sandy landscape. The Anaga Mountains are for people who want a little variety in their beach vacation. Here, you’ll walk in the clouds, surrounded by lush, green trees and plants of all varieties.

B is for BARRANCO DE MASCA

The hike down the ravine from Masca to the beach is on one of the most spectacular trails in Tenerife. This is an amazing hike, where you will find yourself enjoying beautiful views, scrambling over rocks, paddling through crystal-clear streams, and watching out for local wildlife, such as lizards, colourful butterflies, and even osprey flying overhead.

C is for COSTA MARTIÁNEZ

Costa Martiánez is an amazing swimming pool complex designed by Cesar Manrique. The complex is made up of many huge seawater pools, and the whole area is clean, beautiful, and well maintained. The views of the sea and the surroundings, from inside Lago Martiánez are stunning.

D is for DOLPHINS AND WHALES

Those who love sea life will enjoy a boat excursion off the coast of Tenerife. The waters are deep, yet warm and host thousands of species of microscopic life, perfect food for hungry whales, dolphins and other sea mammals. There are 28 cetacean species of whale, dolphin, and porpoise to see. How many can you find?

E is for EL MEDANO

El Médano is everything you imagine a beach paradise to be, plus a little more. While you have the sandy beaches and the sun-filled sky, you also have beachfront shops where you can catch a break from the water and grab a beer or ice cream cone. This area is perfect for kitesurfers, windsurfers, and kite-flyers.

F is for FREEDIVING

Tenerife has great conditions for all year round freediving. No matter if you are a beginner and looking for somewhere to try freediving for the first time, or an experienced freediver wanting some training dives, then there is sure to be a company that suits your needs.

G is for GARACHICO

Garachico is a lovely place to stop for a while, about 25 kilometres west of Puerto de la Cruz. There is much to explore here, such as shady narrow streets, lovely cafes in hidden squares, and local craft shops. The best attraction is the lava pools. These are naturally formed and are great for a dip in the ocean. You can also enjoy walking along the paths between the pools and just enjoying the view.

H is for HIKING

If you have the chance to go hiking in Tenerife then be sure to take it. The nature is amazing and different all over the island from the dry south to the fertile north, to Teide National Park in the middle.

I is for ICOD DE LOS VINOS

The Drago Milenario, the 59-foot tall Dragon tree of Icod in Tenerife is the largest of its kind and has become a symbol of the island. From a distance, it almost looks like two trees intertwined in a permanent hug; the gnarly trunk stands strong beneath branches that look like raised hands.

J is for JEEP SAFARI

A fun way to explore Tenerife is to join a jeep safari. You can choose from different excursions such as a Teide Tour, a Masca Tour, an Around the Island Tour, and even a Stargazing Tour.

K is for KAYAKING

There are many different kayak companies in Tenerife. Some where you just rent a kayak and off you go by yourself, and others where you have a guide and a chance to see dolphins swimming close by.

L is for LORO PARQUE

Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz is a great zoo to visit and is loved by people of all ages. There are many animal shows to watch such as sea lions, dolphins, killer whales, and bird shows. Just remember to check the show timetables so you can fit them all in.

M is for MONKEY PARK

Monkey Park is a fantastic place to spend a couple of hours. You can actually feed some of the animals here, which children and adults love! It is lovely to have little monkeys come over to you, and take some of the food. The best part though is being in with the lemurs, and being able to stroke and feed them.

N is for NATIONAL PARK

A great day out when in Tenerife is a visit to El Teide National Park. If you have rented a car then you can drive up through the park and come out at the other end of the island. It is fantastic to drive through lava fields, and see the old flows of lava on the volcano. The pine forests in this area are beautiful and very scenic too.

O is for OROTAVA

Orotava is a traditional Canarian historic town. It is situated in the middle of banana plantations, with amazing views over the Orotava Valley. Enjoy the pleasure of a stroll through the cobblestone streets, and admire the beautiful architecture of mansions, museums and churches. Take in the sights with a drink on a cafe terrace at a plaza, and smell the sweet scent of the many flowers.

P is for PUERTO DE LA CRUZ

Puerto de la Cruz has everything you could want from a holiday in Tenerife. You will feel like you have entered a paradise as you relax on the beach or take a walk through one of the many gardens. If you want to experience a bit of culture, you can take a walk through the cobbled lanes downtown or just sit on a cafe terrace outside one of the colonial style restaurants lining the streets.

Q is for QUAD BIKE SAFARI

This is along the same lines as the Jeep Safari, but even more fun as you get to drive your own quad bike. It is very exhilarating to ride a quad bike in Teide National Park or through the forests, and the views are stunning.

R is for ROQUES DE GARCÍA

Los Roques de García are rock formations found in Teide National Park, which are thousands of years old. This is a great place for trekking with some amazing landscape and great hiking paths to follow. The views of the park and El Teide from here are spectacular so remember your camera.

S is for SIAM PARK

After a visit to Siam Park, you will understand why it is rated one of the best water parks in the world. It really is that good! You have a huge choice of superb waterslides, some relaxing, and some which will propel you down them at high speed. You can be surfing waves one minute, and watching deadly sharks the next.

T is for TERESITAS

Playa de Las Teresitas is said to be the most beautiful beach in Tenerife, and if you visit here you will see why. The soft golden sands, shipped in from the Sahara Desert, stretches across the whole beach. With the tropical palm trees and the turquoise sea, you could be forgiven for thinking you have arrived in paradise!

U is for UNIQUE

Tenerife is certainly a unique island. From its “Dragon Tree” to its “Lava Caves” there is something different to see and do here for all ages.

V is for VOLCANO

El Teide is an active volcano, but don’t worry, it hasn’t erupted since 1909. At 3718 meters, it is the highest mountain in Spain. The views in this area are breath-taking, and you won’t know which direction to look first. There are a couple of visitor centres, where you can pick up maps and souvenirs.

W is for WEATHER

Tenerife is described as the ‘Island of Eternal Spring’, and after a visit here, you will understand why. While the south is a little warmer, there really isn’t that much difference and the north makes up for the slightly cooler weather with the green lush nature. The good thing about Tenerife is that if it’s raining where you are, jump in your car or on a bus and drive for a little while and you are sure to come across a place where the sun is shining.

X is for X FACTOR

With great weather, fantastic beaches, beautiful nature, and lots of top rated attractions for all different ages, I would say that Tenerife certainly has the X Factor!

Y is for YACHT TRIP

A yacht trip in Tenerife is the luxury way to see the whales and dolphins in their natural habitat. With a free snack and drinks included, and also free snorkel equipment, the prices are actually quite reasonable and around €60 for an adult. Some companies will also arrange free pick up and drop off at your hotel. You can also book private tours, but then the price is much higher.

Z is for ZOO – JUNGLE PARK

Jungle Park is Tenerife’s wildlife refuge and adventure park. Over 500 species call the park home, from pumas and tigers to penguins and primates. They are housed in a natural setting of more than 75,000 square meters.

A Simple and Useful Guide to Los Gigantes in Tenerife

Tenerife is definitely one of the best destinations in the world to visit and also an amazing place to live. It is such a diverse and unique island which will surprise and delight you with all the amazing things to see, do and experience. Here at Tenerife Magazine, we like to help you uncover the many incredible features of the island, rather than spending all your time at your hotel or resort. We know how tempting a week sunbathing by the pool can be, but to truly experience the real Tenerife and all it has to offer we suggest spending plenty of time exploring.

If you’re looking for amazing places to visit or to stay in and aren’t feeling particularly adventurous though (although Tenerife is perfect for exciting adventures), then you won’t go wrong with the gorgeous seaside resort town of Los Gigantes.

كيفية إنشاء موقع على شبكة الانترنت مجانا وكسب المال Location:

The town of Los Gigantes is located on the stunning south-west coast of the island which is bathed in beautiful sunshine almost all year round. Unlike other parts of the island where the weather can be a little less predictable, you will almost certainly find blue skies and the spring-like temperatures that Tenerife is world famous for. Even during winter months, you can still enjoy strolling around during the day in shorts and t-shirt and sunny days at the beach or by the pool.

The town is in the municipality of Santiago del Teide and is just a short distance from Puerto de Santiago and Playa de la Arena, two other lovely holiday resorts. It is also only around 30 kilometers away from the livelier resorts of Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos which are easy to reach by car, or the convenient and frequent direct bus route.

go here Acantilados de Los Gigantes

The town is named after the absolutely incredible http://i3group.com.au/?klykva=%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%AB%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D9%81%D9%8A-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%81%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%B3&353=f9 Acantilados de Los Gigantes (“Cliffs of the Giants”) situated just north of the town here . The first time you see these 500 meter high cliffs in real life you will see that they really do live up to their name.  They completely show off the immense power of nature, and we can almost guarantee you will be awestruck at their size and beauty!

The town is perfect for either a day trip to see these cliffs and the many other fantastic features, or for a longer stay of a week or more with many hotels and holiday apartments. There are also a variety of houses and apartments for rental or sale if you choose to make the town your home which we are sure you might be tempted to after a visit.

click Peaceful and Exclusive Atmosphere:

Los Gigantes offers the best of both worlds: being relatively quiet and perfect for a peaceful holiday or place to live, but also still with many places to enjoy with live music acts and plenty of things to do. Unlike other parts of the island such as Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos which have a whole host of bars and nightclubs and have a livelier, loud party atmosphere, Los Gigantes, and surrounding towns are brilliant for families or couples looking for a quieter, more relaxed stay.

All of the resort’s central apartment complexes and residential area, with the exception of one multi-story hotel, are low-rise, thus blend in well with their surroundings. Because the town is naturally closed in on all sides, located within natural rocky boundaries and the Atlantic Ocean, there is little chance of it dramatically expanding in any direction and losing its peaceful atmosphere or air of exclusivity.

follow link Main Features:

The streets of Los Gigantes are quiet, safe and narrow, with a one-way system operating throughout most of the town. Most of the time you won’t be disturbed by the constant noise of traffic driving by or masses of crowds. Instead, you will find plenty of excellent restaurants, cafes, and shops that you can enjoy at a much more relaxed pace.

The Amazing Cliffs of Los Gigantes

The main features of the town are the Marina, The Plaza, and the Avenida Maritima main street. There is also the small, clean, black-sand Los Guios beach located next to the Marina. While the beach is perfect for families with kids due to its safety, luckily it is rarely crowded.

follow Los Gigantes Marina:

At the Marina, you will be able to gaze out at a variety of different boats with an array of different sizes and styles, while enjoying a meal or drinks at the array of excellent bars and restaurants located there. The Marina definitely adds to the feeling of exclusivity and luxury, as you sit with friends and family gazing out the boats bobbing quietly up and down in the water.

To the right, you will be treated to the incredible cliffs rising dramatically out of the water. There are certainly few other places with such an incredible combination of natural and man-made view while you enjoy your meal or drinks. It is easy to while away many hours here in this gorgeous setting and before you will be able to witness a beautiful sunset out on the ocean horizon.

At the Marina, you can also book a variety of different excursions including jet-skiing, scuba diving, fishing trips, sea kayaking, a trip to see dolphins rent a boat and sailing trips. In addition, the taxi boat to and from Masca bay also depart from here, either to collect and bring back those who have hiked down the Barranco, or take out those who want to hike up to Masca village (both of which are amazing hiking excursions).

This is a pretty, pedestrianized plaza based around the church. Surrounding the plaza are a variety of different bars and restaurants offering a wide variety of different types of meal to suit all tastes. Taking place at the plaza are the majority of town events including the carnival de Los Gigantes (the week after Ash Wednesday).

source Oasis Los Gigantes

A perfect place for a great day out in the town is at the stunning Oasis Los Gigantes leisure center. There are few places on the island that can compete with this center for its gorgeous setting and superb features. It has a beautiful infinity pool with views out to the deep blue Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by verdant green grass and tall palm trees which give that added tropical feel.

If you are used to heading to your local swimming pool leisure center back home in the UK or other northern European countries, then this is a total world away. What’s more, while you relax in the pool with a huge horizon of the ocean in the distance, surrounded by an Oasis of green, there are also the stunning Los Gigantes cliffs in plain, breathtaking view.

As well as the main infinity pool, there is also a huge new slide, a separate children’s pool, a large pool bar with plenty of seating and views out to the ocean, a restaurant with a wide selection of delicious meals, tennis and bowls, and private Bali beds which can be booked for that little bit of extra luxury.

أسعار الذهب في عمان West Tenerife

If you’re looking for an action-packed excursion taking in the incredible sights of the cliffs of Los Gigantes, then you should definitely book a trip with the excellent West Tenerife jet ski excursion company. Based out of the Los Gigantes Marina, the company takes you out on a boat and then you will transfer onto one of their amazing, modern jet-skis for some super fun.

During the trip, you will literally be speeding along beside the giant Los Gigantes cliffs taking in their true splendor. From the town the cliffs are amazing but seen from a jet ski while you speed alongside them, it really is something else. It feels like some kind of fantastic dream, but the wind in your hair and the sound of the jet ski engine reminds you that it’s very real!

This isn’t only a jet ski adventure though, as later on you will meet with another boat and be taken to the Punta Tena to see the lighthouse of Teno. This is also a very interesting area and from here you will be able to snorkel in the clear water and try out the super fun underwater scooter. With this motorized scooter, you can power yourself deep under the water for a unique perspective beneath the waves. Later on, you will jet ski back to the Los Gigantes Marina and enjoy the incredible cliff views again.

As you can tell, Los Gigantes is an amazing place to visit and stay in, with plenty to do, see and experience. This is just a selection of some of the things you can enjoy in this beautiful seaside resort town and we certainly recommend checking it out yourself to experience all that the place has to offer! Make sure to follow us on social media to keep up to date with our recommendations about Los Gigantes and the island in general.
